I look back

on all the stories you told

and I wonder,

how many of them

were lies?

I try to imagine

what it would be like

if they were real.

Firstly,

you wouldn’t be laughing.

And then there’s the fact

that you wouldn’t

announce it all

to the world.

To add to that,

your actions probably wouldn’t contradict

with all the things your telling me.

We were so fooled.

God,

sometimes I wish

I could say it all

to your face

and not flush

from your smirk.
