San Francisco took away my summers

And my soul

My youth’s last breath escaping into the

Strangling fog that circles

Dense around streetlamps

like a Vulture

Waiting for the light to extinguish

Into golden myth-like proportions.

The Slow adult time tempo sweats out

The Fever of

Innocence, happiness disallowed in

The Suffocating City

Whose fingers tap at my temples,

Bleed me dry of any humanity

still Remaining
