Dedicated to my father...

I know that behind those bulging eyes and screaming vocals, there is love still there for me. And through those times where I cannot stand to be alone, I know you're always there.

--

Sometimes

--

Sometimes I feel like crying

Sometimes I feel like dying.

I cry and cry and cry,

But it seems that I never die.

--

Sometimes life is cruel

Sometimes life is miserable.

You left me with the hope that you’d return

But now it’s been so long, every new tear another burn.

You meant more to me than life

Now I’m afraid I may lose that too from a knife.

--

Sometimes you’d tell me you loved me

Sometimes.

I guess those times, as distant as they are now,

Were just filled of your lies, and my love for you, my vow.

--

Sometimes I think my love remains,

Then I have kept my vow, have I no brains?

Now I can’t believe how stupid I was. From all that time we shared,

Sometimes I actually thought you cared.

Sometimes...

--

Sometimes I feel like crying

Sometimes I feel like dying.

I cry and cry and cry,

And now my time has come to die.

--

If you're thinking I'm sort of emo, you're totally incorrect. I just think writing poetry to display an understanding for those people who take desperate measures to "relieve the pain" is showing a true sense of awareness. Some people choose to either totally ignore emos, people who inflict self-pain, or just pretend they're not there; while others mock and tease them, making life even more difficult to handle. It's beautiful to know that there are those few who care.

--

Also, my dad is the best dad ever. We have a couple of fights...just a couple...but I still love him and I'm sure he does me, too.

\--/ WORLD PEACE...don't ignore it \--/
