in the darkest foreign reaches of my heart i fell you

in spite of what we always said

forever is a point of view

waiting for our chance endeavor

our final chance to be together

and though the night is filled with passion

we look to fill our desires elsewhere

yet always wind up back where we started, reminded of each other

such a funny thing, desire

hiding in the places we always thought most safe

waiting for the world to conspire to bring us once more to this place

where what we know and what we say and do contradict
