I once dreamt I fell from the air
The wind swam around me
Nipping my nose and finger tips
Filling my ears with words

And then I was nothing
But Air

I once dreamt I walked into fire
The heat breathed sparks on my skin
Brandishing tattoos of black
Leaving marks of possession

And then I was nothing
But Fire

I once dreamt I rose from the earth
The dirt and plants covered me
Encircling my waist and neck
Pushing a confession from my lips

And then I was nothing
But Earth

I once dreamt I sank into water
The liquid pressed itself against me
Combing my hair into tangles
Coating my eyes with images

And then I was nothing
But Water
