Aysu's Quest
“Aysu come here,” the man in the throne said, his voice was strange, a mere hiss. If you could even call him a man. He was pale, completely white, with blue lips and bright yellow eyes. His hair was pulled back in a ponytail of snowy white and blue hair. He was Henrikas, ruler of the fifth kingdom in the Underworld.
“You summoned me Master?” Aysu, a blond girl dressed entirely in black said stepping out of the shadows. She seemed eager to speak with this man, smiling brightly as she keeled before him.
“Have you found it? Have you found the key?” the man hissed his question.
“Yes Master, as you expected, she has it,” Aysu said running her hand through her hair, “it might be harder to get than you thought.”
“Aysu, go find Koun,” her master ordered, “he has the plans, he will tell you how to obtain the key.”
“Yes sir,” Aysu said, she got to her feet and bowed before taking her leave. She found Koun in his usual haunt, the study on the third floor of her master's castle.
“Hello Aysu,” Koun asked when she entered, “You'll be wanting the plans then?”
“That is what the Master wishes,” Aysu nodded solemnly, then her face broke into a wide smile, “It will be fun getting into the Queen's chambers unnoticed.”
He turned to the shelf behind him and grabbed a roll of paper, “He you go.” He handed her the plan and smiled softly, “Be careful out there, okay?”
The plan was simple, after memorizing the floor plan of the castle. First, she would have to disguise herself as a tourist, then, when the tour got to level three, break off and sneak to level four using a little-known secret passageway. The key would be located in the room across the hall, the queen's boudoir.
So the girl, normally dressed in black, donned a flowered dress and went to find the key. Joining the tour group was easy, her fake passport with the name “Evylan Rhodes” got her passed the front guards.
Shortly after getting to the third level of the castle she spotted the door to the secret passage. Quietly, she crept inside and followed the passageway to the end of the hall and up a flight of stairs. She inched her way out of the passage, careful not to be spotted by the guards, who were conveniently facing the other way due to some of Asyu's mind control.
Aysu reached out and turned the handle of the door, it creaked open and Aysu rushed in. According to her calculations, the key would be inside one of the boxes on the Queen's desk, and she would have five minutes to grab it and get out.
The first box she opened contained only a ring made of gold, the second the Queen's powder, but the third held the object she was looking for, the key. She shoved it in her pocket and quickly rejoined the tour group as they were leaving the castle.
Only after she had given Henrikas the key did she ponder on the object. “I wonder what what he wants a rusty old key for anyway?” She shrugged and walked off to her room. Little did she know she had given him the key to destroying earth.
