The Traveller
by Eressea

-

I am going to a place of my own,

Though I cannot see anything yet.

I definitely won’t be afraid

Of shedding tears anymore.

With nothing but a façade,

I will not know the true me.

-

I wonder what I will find,

I wonder what I will lose,

Within the pieces of me,

Hidden in my heart.

-

I will go walking alone,

Following the river flow.

Because somewhere,

I want to meet,

The true me whom I do not know.

-

Running a little too fast,

I feel I have not been seeing clearly.

Yet surely even mistakes are answers.

In the time I have just for myself,

I will become the true me,

Who isn’t like anyone else.

-

I wonder who I will meet.

I wonder who I will end up hurting.

Because my heart can’t be numbed,

Like I wish it could.

-

I will drift where the wind blows,

Gathering the puzzles.

I will go without bearing my shield,

So I can grasp them with both hands.

-

I wonder how I will look,

I wonder how I will live,

Within the pieces of me,

Hidden in my heart.

-

I will go walking alone,

Treading the path that the road goes.

Because somewhere,

I know I will find,

The true me whom I do not know.
