Prologue: Childhood Meeting
A man and a boy, which looked to be the age of six, walked through town and towards the castle. They approached the gates. The guard bowed.
"Sir Everon," he said as he opened the gates. They continued walking, and the guards did the same at the front door. A servant escorted them from there to the throne room.
"Ah Everon, I see you've brought your son. Sophia, go play with Estoc. Daddy has something to do with this man," he beckoned them towards the back door. When both of them got outside to the gardens, they starting introducing themselves.
"Hi, I'm Estoc," he said.
"I'm Sophia," she said happily. It was nice that she had someone to play with. She was always isolated in the castle.
A few hours passed and Estoc's father called for him.
"Estoc, let's go," he said through the gardens.
"Wait" she said as he got up “remember me by this" she said as she gave him a heart pendant.
"I will," he said as he walked with his father out of the castle.
Chapter One: Destruction
.
Ten years passed. A young man, who look to be the age of sixteen, was fighting off some of the men who destroyed his home. Flames roared. Women screamed. Children cried. Men yelled to run.
"Vera! Take Estoc and run!" he shouted.
"But what about you?" she cried.
"Your protection means more to me than anything. Good-bye," he said before an arrow impaled him back. Several more arrows soon hit him. She cried, her husband had been killed.
"Come on, Estoc. We need to get out of here," she said as they hurried off. On the way they met two of Estoc's friends, William and Kristen.
"We need to go now!" William yelled. As they were getting on the horses to flee, an arrow pierced Estoc's mother's heart.
"No. Not you too," he whispered.
"Go," was all she was able to say before the life in her eyes faded. They left that second.
As they were fleeing, arrows zoomed over they're heads. Kristen took out her bowed and aimed at the source. She let the arrow fly, striking each out them in the face.
"Where do we go now?" she asked.
The heart pendant he had received ten years ago reflected the moonlight.
"Sepheara," was all he said before the three of them rode away from the remains of what used to be their home.
