Chapter Six: A True, New Life
A year has passed. Estoc had decided to remain in Sepheara. Ever since their confessions, he has stayed by Sophia’s side.
Evia has been fully rebuilt. The population is slowly returning to it once was.
Suitors still came to ask for Sophia’s hand in marriage. Once again, she declined all of them. There was only one man she loved.
Sophia had told her father that she loved Estoc. He said that she was royalty and he was practically a peasant, but he knew that the marriage of one she did not love was not right. He wanted her to be happy so he accepted that.
It is the anniversary of the day that they confessed their love.
They went to the same spot they had gone to a year ago. They walked through the gardens until the came upon the same bench.
“I can’t believe it’s been a year.” Sophia said.
“Me neither.”
“Have you been to Evia lately?”
“I haven’t gone there since the time we went together.”
“Three months.”
“I will not return here permanently,” Estoc told his friends.
“Why?” William asked.
“Because I love Sophia.”
“Remember the whole ordeal we went through to confess our love?”
“Of course. I had my sub-conscious telling me tell you the entire time.”
She rested her head on his shoulder.
“I love you.” She whispered.
“I love you too.”
And it all started with a pendant, a heart pendant.
A/N: I realize that it is shorter now, but when I wrote the sixth chapter months ago, I was rushing it, so it came out wrong. So I took out the part from Chapter Five that was in Chapter Six.
