Troubled Night
by Eressea

-

Like a young wounded beast,
Enclosed and locked up in a cage,
I dream of running off
Into that extraordinary world called freedom,
Where nothing predestines my fate,
And dreams are seen through the end.

-

Black darkness lies within,
As I resist that overflowing terror.
What is mistaken?
What is correct?
The world is too large for my small hands to grasp.

-

Perhaps you would understand and explain.

-

Droplets dance in the moonlight.
Rain ruptures the silence of the night.
Piercing sounds of rain hitting concrete
Magnifies my loneliness.
A shadow of looming solitude
Lengthily and deeply conceals me.

-

In the vastness of the dark, I was only living a little.

-

Why did I meet you and touch your cheek?
Even if I am alone again,
I would still love you.
Where did this begin?
When will it end?
Going astray is all I am afraid of,
Yet I feared your kindness more than this.

-

Why are people born only to find the end?
I will continue to search for the answer.
When we met to say farewell,
Was it foolish to believe
That we would meet again?

-

Black darkness lies within,
As I resist that overflowing terror.
What is evil?
What is good?
The world is too cloudy for my eyes to see.

-

That is why I want to be with you.
