I wrote this a long time ago, and it lacked a lot. I'm not that good with oneshots, but I did my best to improve it.

The violent waves were hitting his boat, nearly tipping it over. He tried his best to ignore the water and keep rowing.

He had been gone for two weeks. Two long weeks. He longed to see her. Her long golden hair, her warm blue eyes, his love. He would be reunited with her, and the sea's wrath wasn't going to stop him.

He had reached the docks of the town. He had made it back to land. All that he had to do now was find her. He ran towards the forest, to their secret spot. After run through the depths of the forest he arrived at a lush meadow filled with flowers and animals. The trees leaves blocked most of the heavy rain, but few drops still made it through.

Standing in the middle of the meadow, was his love. She turned around. She knew it was him.

She ran over to him and flung her arms around his neck. "I missed you," she whispered.

"I missed you too," he whispered back.

They held each other in a tight embrace and kissed each other passionately.

"I love you," she said.

"I love you too."

The two of them walked out of the lush meadow and back home. They were together again, and that's all that mattered to them.
