Have A Nice Day

I can't understand who I am anymore...

I can't believe it happened, for you're never ever wrong.
We said once forever, like it meant something real,
Stayed true to our hearts and ended up on the floor.
Singing and dancing to some old, crazy song,
Living and breathing 'cause we thought we could feel.

I can't understand who I am anymore...

I cannot believe they've been gone from me for so long;
That's why I shoved it down your throat like you really had a heart of steel.
They just said goodbye and walked right out that door;
"I'll see you never, just remember that you're strong."

I don't believe in Jesus, but nothing else has worked, so I'll kneel
and I'll pray and I'll beg whatever's up there
for a second chance, another way
To say I'm sorry, just for causing those tears.
Now gone and away with you along with your fears,
Though they've never left my heart, they're refusing me to stay
With their kin, with their loves, as though I never cared.

I can't understand who I am anymore...

Johnny, Michael, Susan, and Dean,
Mom, Dad, Jerry, and Chantelle.
Uncle Joe and Papa Dale.

All gone, all gone,
To never be seen.
All gone, all gone;
We had so much to tell.
All gone, all gone,
As fantastic be the tale.

I can't understand who I am anymore...

Alone, in the dark,
Spinning and weeping,
Seething and churning,
Wishing and dreaming,
Learning and wanting,
Demanding and getting,
Living but never alive.

You see how they left me?
You see how I am?
Left with a BAM! --
And now I have to be...

Move on, move on,
Move on, they all say.
But they don't understand,
They can't have known my brother Ron.
They aren't on their knees attempting to pray,
And they weren't the ones trying to take a stand.

I understand...

I did,
I live.
I will,
And I have.

For your welfare now I bid,
My possessions I shall give.
This Will I make to see through still,
To ensure your lives and that I have.

...my purpose now,
so thank you,
goodbye,
and have a nice day.
