You are so silent
that God loses all composure
and makes the heavens speak for you.
The universe sobs, throbs, strikes the planet
that chooses to cause you pain on any given day.
As I search the skies, I wonder about what you would say -
but never do. You focus your eyes beyond us all
and refuse to relinquish any string of sound.
When you give yourself up as such a loss
that you don't meet the lost and found,
I find you in this silence.
