Jayson Silvera and Angeliah Matthews have a very interesting relationship. The reason that makes it so interesting is that at some points they like each other, and other parts, they just cannot stand the sight of each other. They are also alike in many ways and that is because they are immortal. Jayson is a demon where Angeliah happens to be a vampire and both of them happen to be very powerful. What happens when they find out each other's secret? Will it be love after all or will they kill each other to the end since vampires and demons don't get along?
Angeliah's eyes glowed a dark green as she watched Jayson Silvera with his new girl of the week. He was a pig in her heart and she didn't even know why she even cared the least bit. Her cheeks flushed a light pink as Jayson's eyes landed on hers and she quickly turned her face away from him when she looked down at the ground. As she was sitting on the chair on her porch as her two friends rambled about the two new hot guys at school, she scoffed, thinking about how arrogant Jayson Silvera was. She watched as Jayson walked behind Kendra, placing his hands on her hips, pulling her back against him.
"Ugh, he makes me sick to my stomach," Angeliah whined as she crossed her arms over her chest, crossing one leg over the other, watching Jayson turn his head to look at her.
One of her friends, Melanie, just laughed, and the other one, Abigail, just shook her head. Standing at five foot and seven inches, Melanie had brown skin. She also hazel eyes with short black curly hair, which came to her shoulders. At five foot and nine inches, Abigail had fair skin, having a light tan to her skin. She had blue eyes and dirty blonde hair with dark red tips at the end.
"Yeah right, Angeliah," Melanie said with a giggle leaving her lips, "I bet you were wishing that was in Kendra's place, running his hands up and down your sides. I know you, Angeliah. I know you like him, so you just might as well come out with it already. I just do not understand what the big deal is of letting him know."
"Seriously, Angel, you need to tell Jayson Silvera that you like him, and that you want to be with him. Also, you need to tell him about what 'you are'. For all you know, he could want that in a woman. I hear guys like Jayson like girls with a toughness and you certainly have that," Abigail grinned as she leaned back against the swinging bench, getting quite comfortable.
Angeliah just rolled her eyes, shocked at what her two best friends just said to her. There was no way in her right mind that she would ever fall for Jayson. Sure, he was handsome, smart, so sexy, and he had his moments where he was nice… wait a minute? Were the girls right? Did Angeliah have feelings for him?
"I do not have feelings for Jayson Silvera. Like I said before, and I will say it for the last time, but Jayson Silvera is nothing but a downright, nasty pig. I would never be caught romantically involved with him. Abigail and Melanie… you two can have him for all I care," Angeliah rolled her eyes as she stood up and leaned against the fence, her back facing Jayson's house.
"I don't believe that. I know that you do want me, Angeliah," Jayson whispered against her neck, placing one of his hands on her shoulders, a grin spreading across his face.
Angeliah quickly backed away from the fence as she looked at Jayson, noticing that his girl of the week was gone, and Angeliah smirked, crossing her arms across her chest. Angel was starting to wonder if Jayson picked on her because it was a hobby to him or something along those lines.
Angeliah glared at Jayson, placing her hands on her hips, and she watched him look her up and down. She then watched his tongue slide out of his mouth, licking his lips, and Angeliah couldn't help but to think that he looked very sexy.
"In your dreams, Silvera. I know it's you that wants me because I want nothing to do with you. Besides, I wouldn't be with a guy who has a new flavor every week. That's just not my style, right girls?" Angeliah turned her head to see that Abigail and Melanie had disappeared to somewhere. They probably sneaked away the back away or something.
"Who in the world are you talking to, girl?" Jayson asked as he opened the metal gate, stepping in front of her, running a hand over the back of his neck, feeling his blood boil, which indicated how nervous he became when he was near Angel.
"Angie!" called her older sister, Rayne, who came outside in a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved shirt, which had a stain in the middle of it, which made Jayson take a double look at her.
All Angeliah did was turn her head, giving her a look, which made Jayson laugh. "Yes Rayne, what the hell do you want now?"
"Don't talk to me that way. You got to remember I am in charge while mom and dad are away for the weekend. You've got to listen to what I say or you can find somewhere else to stay," Rayne spat, placing her hands on her hips, then seeing the guy behind her sister, "Who's your friend?"
"Uhm, I'm Jayson Silvera, and I am definitely not interested. Besides, nice stain you got there," Jayson chuckled as he motioned to the black stain in the middle of her shirt.
Angeliah just laughed as she gave her sister a smirk, which made Rayne just glare at her. "What? Don't look at me like that. I mean, Rayne, you are a mess right now. What woman in their right mind comes out when their hair is fucked up and their clothes are a mess? Certainly like me but that's why we're so different. Now, if I were you, I'd take your insane butt back inside the house, and finish what you were doing. Also, when you're done, I'd take a shower too because something stinks. I am also pretty positive that smell sure isn't me or our neighbor here…"
Rayne just gasped as she turned her back before she walked back into the house. Angeliah then jumped a little startled when Rayne slammed the door as well as locking it. Angeliah looked at the window in the door, watching Rayne flick her off.
"Like I don't have a place to go," Angeliah laughed as she licked her fangs on the bottom before she turned around to see that Jayson was still here, "What are you still doing here by the way?"
"I was very impressed, Angie!" Jayson teased as he looked at her with a grin spreading across his face, "Why does she even call you that, Angeliah?"
"Rayne calls me that because she knows how much I despise that name," Angeliah explained as she walked to the porch, grabbing her purse where her necessities were inside.
"Oh Angeliah."
Angeliah's smile got really big when she heard her best friend of ten years at the front gate. She smiled as she looked at Jackson before she went and jumped into his arms.
"Jackson, what are you doing here?" Angeliah asked as she kissed him on the cheek, "I mean, I am really excited to see you but I wasn't expecting you for another month or so."
"Hey, better now than never," Jackson grinned and then looked at the guy next to her, "Let me guess. Would you happen to be Jayson, her neighbor?"
Jackson had dark brown skin, standing at five feet and eleven inches. He had hazel eyes and his black curly hair was pulled back into cornrows. He was wearing a pair of baggy blue jeans, a white and black pullover jersey, and a pair of white Air Forces.
"Aw, you talk about me to all your friends?" Jayson grinned as he patted her on shoulder, "I feel so flattered, Angeliah. Do you really like me that much?"
"If saying how much I hate you and can't stand you, then yes, all my friends know," Angeliah said with a smug smirk on her face, pushing him out of her yard and closing the gate behind him, "Go home, Silvera. I have a guest to attend to."
"And how are you going to do that? Remember… your sister locked you out of your house!" Jayson grinned before he walked back across the street to his house, shaking his head in disbelief. He knew it very much that he did have feelings for her and all he wanted was to see that dimpled smile spread across her face.
"What's with your sister on locking out of the house every time she comes to visit you?" Jackson asked with a smile as he wrapped his arm around her waist, leading her to the door where he pulled a key from his pocket. "I am really glad that your parents gave me a backup key."
After he opened the door, he quickly placed the key in his pocket, and he walked inside after Angeliah did, shutting the door behind him. Angeliah heard the shower running and she smiled as she dragged him to her room where the two began to catch up on each other's lives.
"Hello ladies and thanks for leaving me alone with that prick last night. He makes my life a living hell, Abigail and Melanie," Angel scoffed as she followed the girls to the back where Abigail's and Melanie's boyfriend were sitting. The first guy, Brad, who was Melanie's boyfriend, had a single layer tan on his skin, stood at six feet and one inches at height. He also had dark hazel eyes and he had brown, spiky hair. The second guy, Daniel, who was dating Abigail, was naturally tanned, meaning he was a Spanish guy. Standing at five feet and ten and a half inches, he had dark green eyes, and he had black hair with blonde streaks through his hair.
"Hey boys! Will you get your girls off my back?" Angeliah looked at both Daniel and Brad, a smile spreading across her face, shaking her head as she opened the menu.
"Are you two bugging Angel again? What are you doing this time, Abby?" Daniel asked as he draped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close to him.
"We're just trying to get her with your best friend, baby," Abigail smiled as she looked at Daniel, battering those eyelashes of hers at him, a giggle leaving her lips. "I mean, we know she likes him, baby, and we just want to see them happy and not fighting all the time. Is that such a crime?"
"Before Daniel could say anything, Angeliah said something. "Yes, it is a crime if you ask me. I don't like the guy at all, especially a guy who has a new girl every week. That's just showing that he has commitment issues."
"I do not have commitment issues, Angel. I think you need to get your facts straight before you even jump to any conclusions, Angeliah," Jayson leaned down, whispering into your ear, "For all you could know, I could be using those girls to make you jealous because I could possibly like you."
Jayson prayed that she didn't figure him out since that was exactly what he was doing. Angeliah was the type of girl he wanted but he was very different than any other guy in town. He was a demonic guy with powers. What he didn't know was that Angeliah was a very powerful vampiress but she too, was afraid of what he would think of her.
"You are so full of it, Silvera! Is it your hobby making my life miserable and hellish?" Angeliah asked as she shrugged his hands off of her where he took a seat next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders, chuckling at her pushing him away. "Don't touch me or else."
"Ohhh, I am so afraid? What should I do, Dan and Brad?" Jayson laughed as he opened his menu. A moment passed and he felt a kick at his kneecap. He glared at her, tugging on her ponytail. "Don't kick me, Angie!"
Angeliah sighed when her hair was a mess when he pulled ponytail. She pulled out her hair clip where her dirty blonde hair, which had red and black streaks through it cascaded down her face, her dark green eyes mesmerizing in the light above their table. What Angeliah did not see was that Jayson was staring at her, amazed at how beautiful she was right now. Everyone else at the table saw what Jayson was looking at and they just smiled at him where he blushed, turning his gaze back to his menu.
"So, um, what's everyone doing for the rest of the day?" Brad asked as he took a bite out of one of his fries.
Everyone just shrugged her shoulders, having no plans so far. Angeliah smiled as she then ordered a chicken salad, along with a glass of fruit punch. Jayson then ordered a chicken, ranch burger with a mixture of seasoned fries and onion rings. Angeliah was about to pull her hair up back in her clip when the clip snapped, bringing a frown on her face.
"Hey Melanie or Abby, you guys got a hair tie or a clip I can borrow?" Angeliah asked as she threw her clip away in a trashcan nearby before she sat back down. Both girls quickly shook their hears, hiding the grins on their faces. Of course they had a clip but they saw the way that Jayson had been staring at Angeliah. They liked the way he was looking at her, considering maybe he would make a move or something.
"Angeliah, you really don't need a clip for your hair. You look really beautiful with your hair down," Jayson admitted, moving a strand of that wavy hair from her face, giving her a honest smile.
"Am I being punk'd or something? You are never this nice to me," Angeliah said as she raised an eyebrow at him, shaking her head in disbelief, not even sure what to say or even believe. This was Jayson, her next door neighbor, the guy that used to tease her until she would break down crying, and he was… being nice to her?
"No! Whoa! I was just being nice for a change," Jayson sighed as he gave her a look, shaking his head, "I swear, Angeliah, you can be a pain in the ass sometimes. No wonder you don't have a boyfriend."
Angeliah sighed as she glared at him, slapping him across the face, making Daniel, Brad, Melanie, and Abigail jump a little. She looked at the four of them and shook her head. "Next time you invite me somewhere, make sure he isn't here or coming for that matter…"
As Angeliah rose to her feet, she bumped into a waitress, who spilled ice cold water on her shirt as the other glass, which had lemonade spilled over her jeans.
"I am so sorry, ma'am," replied the waitress, who handed Angeliah some napkins to clean up.
"This must be my day. I'll see you guys later," Angeliah sighed as she grabbed her purse and then walked out of The Red Rose, not too happy right now.
"Damnit Jayson, you better go after her or you are going to regret it in five minutes!" Brad snapped, hitting him aside the head, "I just don't get you sometimes. What you said was just cruel and wrong. What kind of person even says that?"
Jayson looked outside and noticed that the rain was beginning a little earlier than he expected. Angeliah could get sick or something. Jayson ran out of the diner, looking for Angeliah. He saw Angeliah down the street, her arms wrapped around herself to keep herself, but anyone could see she was cold. Jayson ran up to her and placed his jacket over her shoulders.
"Jayson, what do you want now?" Angeliah asked, tears obviously on her face, sighing as she hated how she was feeling right now. Jayson had said some awful things to her that she never ever thought he would even say to her. Sure, he was mean, and he had an attitude problem, but he didn't have to say that part about her not having a boyfriend.
"Look Angeliah, let me walk you home. It's raining, it's cold, and you could catch a cold. Also, I am sorry for what I said. I sometimes get frustrated and take my anger out on something, but in this case, I took it out on you, Angel. I didn't mean it and it's none of my business why you do or don't have a boyfriend," Jayson said as he looked at her.
"You had to have meant it but I really don't care," Angeliah sniffled, biting down on her lower lip, a little blood drawing out because of her fangs, and she licked the blood up. "It's not that big of a deal, Jayson. I am the one that chose not to have a boyfriend."
"If you don't mind me being the nosey neighbor that I am, why don't you have a boyfriend? I mean, Angel, you are quite a beautiful woman, so I don't see how you're single? Any guy would be lucky to be yours," Jayson stated as he looked over at her, wanting her to so badly tell her how he felt, but that was just impossible.
"Well, all the guys in this town either want sex, aren't ready for a relationship, or just want to be friends. It's not that easy finding the right guy. You should know what that's like. I mean, you date a girl every week," Angeliah stated with a roll of her eyes, shaking her head as they approached her house. "Well, this is my house. I appreciate you walking me home but you get home before you get sick. We wouldn't want that, now, would we?"
Jayson smiled as he shook his head. Before Angeliah could give him his jacket back to him, he had already ran across the street, and he then disappeared inside of her house. Angeliah then ran into her house where she saw her sister making out with some guy. She shrugged her shoulders as she walked to her room where she began to get dried off so she would not get sick.
"It's about time you woke up, girl, but from the sounds of things, it sounds like you are sick just like your friend here," Abigail grinned as she looked over at Angeliah and then to Jayson, who smiled weakly.
"Huh?" Angeliah sat up in bed, her hair pulled up in a messy bun, her face, looking all flustered right now. She then saw that Abigail and Jayson were standing by her bedroom door. "What are you two doing here? Today would not be the day to be visiting me. I just want to sleep since I think the rain got me sick. Just let me sleep today…"
"We will but we want to hang out today…"
"All right now. I love you and all girl but go home. It's not even nine in the morning. Just come back later and we can hang out, all right?" Angeliah suggested as she looked at her friend, a grin spreading across her face. "I am just really tired. My sister wouldn't leave me alone last night. Now that she is gone back to California, I just want to sleep for a few hours."
"Does Abigail always wake up this early?" Jayson asked, a yawn escaping his lips as he looked down at the ground, a sheepish smile spreading across his face. "I honestly cannot mind being here, though, especially since you are sick. I am saying I'd take c are of you if you'd like?"
"Jayson, as nice as that sounds, I can take care of myself," Angeliah state while Abigail glared at her, making Angeliah just shake her head, a stifled laugh leaving her mouth.
"I really don't mind because I got a honest amount of sleep last night," Jayson said as he had no idea why he was being super nice to her. There was something about her that made him weak to his knees and all he knew was he wanted to take care of her now that she was as sick as a dog right now. "I promise you, Angeliah, I won't do anything that will cost me my life, and I would not want to get slapped again."
Angeliah pulled the comfy blanket down so it was at her abdomen and the rest down, showing off her light blue camisole she was wearing. "I guess you can stay here but don't make any noises, please."
Abigail had already left when the two had already started talking and she smiled as she walked out the front door, talking to Melanie that Jayson would be taking care of her.
Jayson smiled as Angeliah had pointed him to the closet and he pulled out an extra blanket. He threw it on the floor, grabbing a pillow from Angeliah, and before the two knew it since they were a little cold from last night as well sick, the two fell asleep. They both fell asleep with smiles on their faces.
Jayson takes care of Angeliah in her sickly manner!
Angeliah and Jayson begin to fight again!
Angeliah almost blows her cover!
