Traumatized

I was walking in the park one cool autumn night

when I heard screams

rudely I ignored them they always

came and left

no one ever helps the one in pain.

But as the sky soften

and the stars glimmered down on me

I knew as hurt faded-

someone was there.

My Grandma

She seemed lonely

sitting in that old caffe across remembrance avenue

her hair foamy silver

her eyes a never ending shore

that tiny smile forever gone

even though she thinks it'll return

between reminisence and reality

her mind lies-

"one day he'll come

just like he promised summers ago"

and she waits

patiently

she waits.
