You may find this weird, but this is a story of a dream. I have tried to find a way out of this dream, but it follows me like so many ghosts haunting their past. I have awakened from this dream to assume the cloak of a daily life, only to find that I could never escape the clutches my dream had on me. It may not make sense to you, hardly it does to me, and I think there is more to it than what I am seeing, so I write out my dream, I type frantically to rid myself of this jumbled mess of images and emotions, and I hope, strive for the relief that sharing this may bring to me.

I do give a word of warning, despite this being a dream, it is one of the few to ever wake me from the dead of sleep, my throat parched, the breath stolen from my lungs, a light sweat still clinging to my body, and the horribly, unsettling feeling of dread and agony writhing in the pit of my stomach. Indeed, it is strange, and it is also one of the only dreams that has kept it's claws sunken into my mind, my body, for such a great amount of time. Even as I give you these words, the emotions, though stronger than I would like, are loosing their grip on the images, on the clarity and detail that held the dream together like fine strings sewn into the background.

If you read my dream, please be surely aware that I may be, in fact, insane.

Sincerely,
Darkened1
