Song of the Undine

Sea green hair plastered to her face

kelp and seaweed cling

to her glistening body

wet from the seas touch

engulfing her with its caressing waves

sea foam gathers about her

covering her like a delicate lace

creating a flowing gown

decorated with starfish

that cling to her skin

so that when she sits upon

her rocky island

her voice calling out to the sea

playing against the waves

that lap against her ankles

she appears to be a goddess of the deep

her melodic voice calling out

to all those above and below the surface

enchanting them with the song of the sea

that pulls at their very souls

the song of the Undine
