Money had been tight
And hearts had been stained
With wonderful dreams
Like the stained glass windows
With lively pictures and colors
And she would have loved
To dance or play an instrument
But the silver of the flute
Is the color that she dreamt of most
At forty years old
She opens her black case
Tears fall out of her eyes.
A simple gift
to.her.the.world.
it had been her wish
her dream
A simple gift made her smile
That simple beautiful dream came true
Her fingers graced the silver
And her lips touched the mouth piece
She fell in love
Her dream came true.
After crying for years that it would
Never happen.
((and now you know why they say,
"Never say never."))
