You put up a clever mask,

An elaborate lieing shield,

I thought I knew you when I met you,

But never did you yield.

You decieved me for awhile,

before you showed me true.

And it truly is your style,

To think not of others but you.

You know it is your downfall,

It makes you all you are.

Ask so much from me,

Then ditch me at the bar.

So I'll ask you just this question,

Do you truly believe,

All the things you said about us?

Or did you just want to take leave?

Before I found out exactly,

What you were doing to me?

Well, I understand it all now,

So I'm glad to be free.

Whatever you asked for I tried,

To give it to you quick.

Even if it would leave me fried,

Or seem like some big trick.

You asked for space, I gave it,

With little more than a thought,

Of what you needed space from,

I knew you were doing a lot.

You asked for total secrecy,

No affection in public.

And though it hurt I did it,

But inside it made me sick.

You asked for me to be there,

Whenever you needed me.

And never did I abandon you,

So “darling” can't you see?

That my simple little want,

For you to show you care,

To do SOMETHING for your boyfriend,

Instead you were never there.

So I ask you now, who's needy,

If you don't know here is a clue,

It's the one who took and never gave,

it isn't me, it's you.

You need so many friends,

To surround you everyday.

And if ever are you miserable,

Noone else should be happy anyway.

Because you whine and complain,

Whenever things aren't going right,

If everything isn't on schedule,

You'll mope till the end of the night.

And for awhile I thought I could cope,

With the way you needed things to be.

And I did my best just to please you,

But then you just lashed out at me.

And you pushed me away and avoided,

And spent time just thinking of ways,

To never spend quality time with me

And just ignore me all of your days.

So now I am moving on swiftly,

And I'll try to forget what we had.

The things about you that I dreamed of,

And for you, I truly am sad.

Because you just don't know how to love someone...

And for that, I am sorry...
