Salvation

Painful reality,
Not fitting in.

Out of place,
Trying with all her might,
No more space.

Out of luck.

Citizen of the dark,
Dying.

Fade to black.

Needing,
Feeling trapped,
Confusing,
Thoughts swirling,
Praying for more,
Pathetic.

Wanting to feel loved,
Craving,
Never felt it once,
Giving up.

Unloved,
Unworthy,
Flawed,
Jinxed.

At the receiving end of mocking stares,
Feeling them tear her soul apart,
Shivering uncontrollably,
Drained.

Numbing the pain.

Mentally exhausted,
Distressed,
Scarred,
Can’t continue like that.

Misunderstood,
Opinions based on her looks,
Overpowered by her fear,
Coward.

Crying herself to sleep,
Crimson tears,
Drenched.

Dreaming,
Pure freedom,
Healing.

Waking up,
Alone,
Falling back again.

Reality.

Living through her music,
Singing her heart out,
Emotion at its purest,
Her salvation.

Nothing else…
