So, I originally wrote this as a song when I was in the shower (where every great piece is written) but when I finally wrote it down I had forgotten alot of what I had come up with. That's why the beginning rhymes, and the rest doesn't. Sorry 'bout that.

Happy Ever After

Every night I’d be tucked in bed

And a fairy tale would be read.

Every time after that

I’d sit and wait

And contemplate:

What if it happened to me?

What if I went over the rainbow,

Had three wishes,

And went on a magic carpet ride!

The beginning of my happy ever after!

Prince Charming was my favorite!

A handsome prince,

Who loved me for me,

And not my royal title.

He’d slay the dragon

And take me to

his castle in the clouds!

There I would find my true love,

And dance the night away!

It was my happy ever after!

But every night,

The clock would strike twelve.

My dream was done;

The stories stopped,

The rainbow ended,

My wishes had been used,

The carpet had lost its magic!

The years went by,

And Prince Charming never came.

It was the end of my happy ever after.

But then I realized,

I didn’t need a fairy-tale

Like in the story books.

My Prince Charming didn’t need to be visible.

After all, what’s a prince compared

To the King of Kings?

I don’t need someone’s shallow love,

Only His eternal love.

But maybe, one day, He’ll reveal My Prince to me…

And my true Happy Ever After

And because I sought

The King before the prince,

I’ll have a true fairy-tale.

No wishes,

No rainbows,

No carpets

Will be needed,

Whatever I find will be sufficient,

For it will come from Him.

I will truly have my Happy Ever After

And, just like with "One Glance" it would not format correctly. :(
