Author's Note:

An odd poem. I wrote it out of boredom. Enjoi!!

In the darkness of the night

they took flight

running fast the field streaked red

shouting, "Jerry, Jerry's dead"

They ran, and ran, they could not stop

for they'd be sure to drop

and so they ran the field streaked red

shouting, "Jerry, Jerry's dead"

I knew them before they came

knew they brought unspeakable pain

And still they ran the field streaked red

shouting, "Jerry, Jerry's dead"

I had to go, I thought, to go away

in order to live another day

They ran across the field red

shouting, "Jerry, Jerry's dead"

Before I even heard or saw

they came upon my very door

there was no place to run or hide

So once again I slipped inside

alone in my mind

a cruel voice spoke to me in kind

"you have failed

they know my childe"

and then he cruelly smiled
