We all are on a road

Where we are now depends on the roads we took

For every choice we have taken

We have changed the road we where on

Or we continue on the road we were on

All of these roads

All of them are in the city of life

The choice to smoke or not

The choice to drink or not

To go with that person

To stay home

To kill yourself

To not

All of these are just a few roads

In the city of life

As you continue down this road you are on

You may see a road you’ve passed before

Perhaps it’s one you’ve traveled down before

And you know you don’t want to take it again

Or perhaps you’ve thought about going down it

And this time you’ll go down it

Might as well see where this road leads

In the city of life

Does the road lead to a better one?

Does the road lead to a worse one?

Is it bumpy?

Is it smooth?

Could it even be a dead end?

The questions you’ll ask

When you are going down that road

In the city of life

You will eventually get to a dead end

It’s just a question of when

Maybe tomorrow

Maybe today

No one knows

It’s a waiting game to see if that roads the best

Maybe those roads have lead you all around the city

Perhaps they have only lead you down the bad parts

You’ll figure out when you get to that dead end

Since there is no where else to go then

No more roads that you can take

In the city of life
