Summer Reading
三島 和希
Kazuki Mishima

Sitting, sweating, swearing some,
I wait until the night,
Glaring at my useless hands
Which still refuse to write.

Any word that dares come forth
Is quickly tossed away
As cans of godly nectar
Lead me far astray.

I listen to her kind advice
With tingling in each nerve:
This friendship is a luxury
That I do not deserve.
