Try Again

In every flame, lies a life
Constantly burning, unable to die down
But with one blow, it goes off
Leaving only embers & smoke

Later forgotten by time
The existence of what it was
No goodbyes, no tears to cast
Just a quick end to yesterday

It becomes the past
Only remembered at present
Then yearned for in the future
As if there was no tomorrow

Ironic as it seems
That flame was what kept –
Everything bright & clear
For life to be how it’s wanted
To shun the coldness
Create the warmth of comfort –
The feel of being alive
& existing

Love is no different
It is nothing that complicated
Love is simple
It is overrated & abused

Be not afraid to light another match,
Let the flame be the life – the love
& enkindle in one’s heart that blaze
Of who you really are

Let’s just try again.
And again.
