As God's harsh Plan seems to beset its course

Wailing and crying like the lost baby it is
the small unclaimed thing wrapped only in
blankets lies abandoned on the doorstep of
a nondescript building on the side of a busy road.

The baby lies in virgin cotton sheets tightly
wound by an unskilled hand ready to be
rid of the result of nature's course.

God watches over the poor sorry thing while his
Divine Plan unfolds unknowingly to the
baby's eyes that only scream for attention
and life's basic needs being unfulfilled.

Winter runs its course dropping a snowflake
here or there but the baby doesn't notice
nature's intricacies blessings miracles
happening around it unless someone comes
to take it away and feed it with nutrition.

God's Divine Plan unfolds neatly in two halves
as a Samaritan stoops down to receive
the unnamed baby in his arms wondering
how God could create such a cruel world
for an abandoned starving frostbitten newborn.
