What's with All the Hype?

In a land of forgotten dreams

among shards of broken hearts

you'll find a little Mexican child

all in little parts

In a land of debt and war

among millions of broken wheels

you'll find a puppy with bleeding paws

still following at its master's heels

In a land of freedom and liberty

among piles of little white pills

you'll find a Chinese businessman hanging

for the toy that tries to kill.

In a land where water runs red

among used bandages and broken casts

you'll find the little drummer boy

playing for the innocence that never lasts.
