Cry Like A River

Flow and tumble,
But never stop.
Cry and rumble,
But stand tall and proud.

(Cry, wolf;
Cry like a river.)

See what you can;
Listen 'til you can't.
Shimmer and glow,
And don't you dare ever stop.

(Cry, wolf;
Cry like a river.)

Teeming with sorrow;
Bursting with pride.
Stay true to dreams of tomorrow,
And take it all in your stride.
Know what you want,
Scorn what you don't;
Ignore them, for they only taunt
They'll never stop -
you know that they won't.

(Cry, wolf;
Cry like a river.)

Weep until the sun comes up,
Choke sobs back until it's gone back down.
Read where you're not meant to,
Wander where you're not supposed to,
Sing and dance when it's never expected,
Cry when you're happy and party when the world ends.
Fight and scream and fight some more,
When the moon is bright you'll howl in your core.

So much to do, so much to believe.
Do the unexpected,
Dream the undreamed,
Believe the unbelievable,
Perform what's impossible,
Think the unthought, and
Invent the uninvented.

Cry, wolf;
Cry like a river,
For have ever you seen a river that cries?
