Jemel's POV

I know for a fact that I shouldn't have told Jari about what Hector had told me. I remembered when he told me that he wasn't a virgin and how he felt about Jari. Both times I didn't believe him and when I found out that she was his ex, I thought I was a goner for sure. Anyone else wouldn't be breathing right now. And I was thankful that Hector had let me breathe. I loved that boy. He was one of my closest friends.

I went home that night and was greeted by him. He told me that he wanted to go out tonight and he wanted me to tag along with him. I was tired in all reality and I didn't feel like going but how could I turn down Hector? I decided that it was best for me to take a shower first because I had no idea where we were going but with Hector I always had to look good.

I headed to my room to lay out my clothes for tonight. I decided on a simple pair of cargo pants with camo and a black wifebeater. I threw the matching fitted on top of the outfit and then my combat boots were at the foot of my bed. If something were to pop off tonight, I was ready for war!

I quickly went to take my shower. When I got out, I headed towards my room, only to be greeted by Hector.

"Oh shit," he said stepping back. We both almost got knocked over. He had my cell phone in his hand. It probably rang while I was in the shower. He looked at me while he spoke into the phone. "Hello?...Yeah, he's right here...Iight." He handed the phone to me and mouthed the words 'it's your girl'.

I snatched the phone away from him and he smirked and I smirked right back. I wonder what they had been talking about or even if they were on the phone for that long. I looked at the call timer and realized it was only for about two minutes. I sighed in relief as I put the phone to my ear.

"Hey baby," I said while stepping into my room and shutting the door behind me. "What's up?"

Jari was probably out with friends. She usually was when she wasn't with me. I bet tonight wouldn't be any different. She spoke, "Nothin', just chillin' with my friends. What are you doin' tonight?"

"Me and Hector are going out. I don't know to where yet but he won't be back for a while I suppose. Why you ask?" I took off my towel and started to lotion my body. I had to stay fresh at all times. "You want me to come over or something?"

"Well, yeah," she said a little sad but I knew she would soon get over it. She was with her girls and they were probably gossiping and talking about the upcoming year. I hoped Jari hadn't said anything about what I told her.

"Sorry, I can't. Once I get in the house I'm going to sleep. I have to get back on schedule so I can get to school and shit. I wanna do better this year. I can't be slackin'. I'm ready to hurry and get outta this city. I wanna spend my life with you and start our family soon."

I know she was smiling over there. She was probably blushing too. When it came down to it, we never cared what anyone ever thought about our relationship and how much we showed public affection. In the end it was always me and her and right now wasn't any different.

Whenever we talked on the phone, no one else mattered. Everyone came second when it came down to just us. Whenever we were together, no one could bother us and they couldn't make us upset or angry or about to cry or fight. We always had each other and that's the way it was always going to be.

"Really?" She asked. I could hear the wide smile on her voice.

"Of course baby. Why would I lie to you?"

"You wouldn't. I'm just making sure you want to spend the rest of your life with me like you had promised."

I remembered that day like it was yesterday. It was our first kiss and the first time I told her how I really felt about her. I promised that me and her would be together forever and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. She later agreed and she never changed her mind afterwards.

"You know I would never change my mind about that. I love you."

"I love you too."

"I have to let you go though. I can't get dressed while I'm on the phone with you."

"OOOHHH!! You're gettin' dressed? Without me?"

I laughed. "I'm sorry baby. It just sprung on me. I'm sorry. But you know I have to meet up with him and he is not very patient when he wanna handle his business. I will call you the minute I get in the house, okay?"

"Okay. Have fun tonight baby. I love you again."

"I love you again too."

Jahayra's POV

I knew he shouldn't have went out. I knew he shouldn't have went out with Hector. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. I KNEW IT! I can't believe he didn't be more smart about his decisions.

Well, here's what happened. At around like two in the morning, I get a phone call from Jemel. It wasn't a normal phone call though. I was drifting off to sleep and when he told me he was in trouble, I almost fell out of the bed. He told me that he had almost gotten shot! Shot! He said he had no idea where he was or how to get home. When I asked him about his dumb ass cousin, he said he had ran in a different direction. Hector had stepped on his cell phone when they were leaving Jemel's house.

From Jemel's voice, I could tell that he was really scared. I had no idea what to do, so I just comforted him and told him to just stay somewhere safe. We were talking for about an hour when I got another phone call. It was Hector, and he asked if I had heard from Jemel. I connected them on a three-way and Hector went to find Jemel. I made sure that Jemel was safe with Hector. The minute he got in his house, he called me again. And well, he fell asleep during our phone sex session...well the start of a phone sex session. He always fell asleep when I wanted it.

Anyways, I'm going to bed!
