To Hold You…

To Hold You…

By: Kristine Mariz Ursua

“Darn it Raymond, where’s my lesson plan!?” Christine wailed as she started pulling out the stuff from the huge boxes that held her things.

It’s been a week since Christine Brown got out of the Hospital. Today she and her boyfriend Raymond finally decided living together in one apartment and are currently having trouble arranging their things. (Well at least for Chris anyway.)

Raymond turned away from the black-tiled kitchen counter and smirked then said:

“Didn’t you say you put it in that box? This is like, the fourth time you said that to me.”

“Ah I can’t remember!” She turned to him and flashed her puppy eyes.

“You—“ Raymond muttered trying to ignore her. “Stop flashing those puppy eyes at me. You wore me out when you were confined…Do something for yourself for once—“

“Won’t you at least help me out?” She wailed waving her hands up and down. He glanced at her sideways and focused on the plates and silverware that needs to be arranged. “You didn’t even hold my hand when we finally got out of the hospital, really, what’s up with you?” She added failing to see her boyfriend flinch.

Raymond closed his eyes and uttered a mental curse. He really hated the fact that he couldn’t even hold her hand or even kiss her on the cheek. But what can he do? Recently he’d been feeling the urge to touch her but due to his decency, conscience and self-control, (and due to the fact that Christine had been confined…) he’d abstained from even getting too close to her, which, for a newly-born couple looked strange. He cursed his hormones for putting him in such bothersome state then bit his lower lip.

“Please??” She finally said after a long awkward moment of silence.

He sighed and said, “No.”

She grunted and turned from him. “Meanie!” She huffed sinking to the floor. He paused for a while and then secretly turned to her.

The apple green oversized T-shirt she wore hid her hips and figure but made her skin even more enticing. The gracefulness in her movement seemed to have entrapped in another world that, when she turned to confront him, the silver spoon he was holding dropped to the floor and then made a loud ‘clang’.

Christine paused completely when she came face to face with a serious Raymond who gazed at her with sheer desire in his eyes. When she tried to back away a little, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him, arms wrapped around her slender waist, his breaths on her neck.

“You should be punished.” He whispered solemnly in her ear. The girl flinched a little and shuddered when she felt him nibbling her earlobe.

“Raymond—“

“Didn’t I tell you to throw away this oversized shirt ages ago?” He cut in continuing his gesture. “You look…” He said suddenly thinking of a perfect term to describe her get up.

“I look like…what?” She asked slightly irritated with her boyfriend’s doting. She shivered when the guy suddenly pushed her off and looked at her from head to foot. Their gazes met and Raymond was surprised when the girl grabbed the collar of her outfit.

“I look pregnant don’t I?” She asked smirking a little at the blushing guy before her. “Would you like to be a daddy soon? Ray—“

She wasn’t able to finish her statement when Raymond suddenly grabbed her shoulders, pushed her against the nearest wall and crushed his lips against hers.

Christine tried to struggle but her arms where pinned above her head, and his hands were so strong she immediately realized that she’d been rendered immobile. He kissed her passionately for a few seconds, before parting from her, his eyes blazing with hunger.

“You…” He said panting. “Don’t…joke… with me…” He whispered gently tracing her lips with his free hand. “I’m really trying to stop myself… so don’t throw those jokes at me.” He added when he finally caught his breath.

“E-eh?” Christine muttered still dazed from shock. He didn’t free her from his grip and gently traced and invisible line down to her neck then said. She flinched when it finally registered in her mind. “You hate ‘daddy’ jokes? And what is it that you’re abstaining from—”

“You.” He cut in slamming his freehand against the wall, beside her head. “I want you…Can’t you tell that just by looking at me?” He asked slightly frustrated by her denseness. “It’s your fault why I’m like this.”

She felt all her blood rush to her cheeks when she realized what he meant. Raymond smirked.

“You realized what I’m talking about don’t you?” He asked gaping the distance between their faces. The girl gasped and looked away from him. “That’s why I couldn’t even touch you… being near you…just makes me want to push you to the nearest corner and molest you.” He added darkly smiling evilly at her.

“I-I—I’m sorry…” She muttered quietly trying to stop her surging emotions. Being with Raymond in that position was the most horrible (at least for her) thing she’d ever experienced since she’d been out of the hospital. She later felt herself shaking vehemently that, when Raymond released her, she sank to the floor, dazed in the shock of feeling so many emotions running through her veins.

“You feel it too, huh?” He whispered kneeling in front of her to meet her gaze. “But then in that maternity get up of yours, who’d even think of doing it—“

He stopped speaking when he noticed her trembling hand clasped her swollen lips.

“Christine?” He said gently making the girl look at him with eyes that screamed sheer fear. When he lifted a hand to touch her cheek, the trembling girl cowered and shut her eyes tight, bracing herself. Raymond pulled his hand back and cursed himself for being such a jerk. He looked at her cowering figure and grunted. Screw him, now he’d gotten her to hate him big time.

His eyes widened when he realized the clear streaks of moisture running down her cheeks and then hitting the wooden floor.

“I’m sorry.” He whispered moving to touch her again. He hesitated for a while and then pulled the silent girl to his arms and hugged her tight. She trembled in his arms when she felt his warmth. Somehow she felt so pathetic to cry over such a matter but she was so shocked that she couldn’t even define what she was really feeling on what he just did. Not that she didn’t like it, it was just so sudden for Raymond to do that since she’d been used to seeing his controlled and laid back side.

But then, in any case, would she refuse if he’d done it in a gentle manner? She wondered when she buried her face to his chest.

“You must have been scared. I’m sorry for forcing you…” Raymond suddenly said finally attempting to part from her. He stopped short when she felt Christine’s grip on his shirt.

“What is it?” He asked quietly.

“It’s okay.” She finally whispered looking up to meet his gaze. She could see his surprised emotion when it registered to his mind. She wasn’t so sure but if it was Raymond she knows that she’ll be fine. “If it’s what Raymond wants.” She added looking directly at his eyes. “It’s okay…” She said again closing her eyes.

“Christine…” Raymond said suddenly feeling awkward. “It’s—“

He stopped when she leaned forward and rested her head on his chest. He slowly ran a hand on her hair and pulled her close. “It’s not something I would do with you if your heart is not ready…And I…especially don’t want you to do it with me because I wanted to. I know you hate me for suddenly assaulting you but I didn’t think—”

“I didn’t hate you.” She cut in raising her head. “I…was just shocked…and scared…your expression a while ago… I’ve never seen that aside from your lonely and gentle side…I just couldn’t believe it.” She said looking away from him.

Raymond watched her rosy cheeks and smiled. It has been a while since he’d seen that face. He sighed in relief and was thankful that she didn’t hate him. Although his body has been bothered by his sudden urges, in the situation they are in right now, and even if she said it was okay, he wasn’t just about to take chances. And thus, the raven-haired guy decided to wait until she’s finally ready to be a woman in his arms.

“I’ll wait.” He finally said meeting her dark eyes. “You’ve waited for me for a long time…now it’s my turn. I will wait until the right time comes… I’ll wait until you are ready.” He continued stroking her long black hair.

Christine looked at Raymond and sighed in relief. Thank God it turned out this way. Had she been too careless to have let him do what he was planning to, she’d be disowned by her family. (Since they’re so old fashion…) She smiled and touched his cheek with steady fingers. There’s no need to worry…She knows that he’ll do what he says.

“Okay.” She answered quietly looking at her boyfriend’s smile. Raymond put his hands on her shoulder and gently bent down. When his forehead touched hers, he asked:

“May I kiss you?”

Christine blushed and was mesmerized by his beautiful blue eyes. After a short moment, she wrapped her arms around his neck, pursed her lips and closed her eyes. Words weren’t needed to comply….

The raven-haired guy gently held her cheeks and slowly gaped the distance between their lips…

“Christine…” He whispered pausing for a while and looking at her sweet, angelic face. “I love you…” he continued enveloping her lips with his.

‘I love you…’ He whispered, and then she felt his gentle kiss on her lips. At that moment, she really wanted to cry, not because she was lonely, but because he’d finally whispered the words that she wanted to hear for so long. When they parted, she clung onto him and shook her head, then whispered.

“No. I love you.” She emphasized pressing her forehead against his.

Raymond felt like shouting at the top of his lungs… To finally hear it from her lips…and see it in her eyes… it was as if the world was revolving around him. Although she’d said it in the hospital, hearing it again after that time-stopping moment…felt as if he’d been immediately transported to heaven. He nodded and then went back to his feet then offered her a helping hand.

“C’mon.” He said gently. “I’ll help you find your lesson plan…”

She nodded and was about to take his hand when the doorbell rang… The couple looked at each other for a moment and then landed their gazes at the door.

Her boyfriend took her hand and helped her on her feet then said, “I’ll get the door.”

“Okay.” She replied smiling and standing on the same spot.

Raymond smiled and gave her a peck on the cheek before walking past her and heading towards the door.

A few seconds later…

“What are you doing here?” She heard Raymond say. Curious, Christine rushed towards the door and stopped on her tracks when she met eyes with a blonde, green-eyed girl who could barely stand because of drunkenness.

Raymond turned to her and suddenly had a cold expression in his eyes.

She couldn’t be wrong. Christine knew she’d seen that face everyday in the late night news-flash. She returned Raymond’s gaze and suddenly mumbled the other girl’s name:

“Raven….Natalie…?”

A/n: Sorry for the wait.

This is one cheesy chapter that came up when I read a smutty manga. (Darn it) Although it’s merely focused on Ray and Chris, I mean how close they got in doing ‘it’ I still have decency left so I’m not planning to put one lusty chapter until the real storm comes.

Thanks to Melissa Norvell Seraph’s wings and to the people who happened to be reading my works. If possible please point out some errors so I can serve you better.
