Hi, I’m Saka… I’m writing this story for a friend of mine, Blade, who had a character he wanted me to write a story with. ;;; I always wanted to write about Kyuro, I just never had an idea until I started this. If you don’t like men with men, please avoid this story, otherwise, please let me know what you think! 3 Here’s chapter 2. Please enjoy, R&R? 3

Chapter 2

When Kyuro was positive that Sheehan was asleep, he slipped silently off the windowsill and padded toward the door. The elf stirred and he froze, staring at the bed, his eyes shining like little flames, even in the dark. When the figure settled with a sigh, Kyuro continued his trek across the little cabin. As he reached for the doorknob, he froze.

“Where are you going at this time of night?” came the sleepy voice from the bed. The demon’s eyes flicked back and he was dismayed to find Sheehan sitting up. “Come on, get over here and sleep, you need it.” The blonde said stubbornly.

“I didn’t think... I m-mean...“ he stuttered. With a sigh he let his hand drop to his side again and he turned back. “How can you still want me to stay?” he finished softly. Sheehan gave a little chuckle.

“Seriously. Just because you’re hitting on me is no reason to kick you out, especially into the rain. Doesn’t that make you weak or something? I mean, since you’re a fire demon and all?” he cocked his head to the side.

Kyuro glided back towards the bed. He sat on the edge of the pull out, next to the other.

“Yeah, but in case you didn’t notice last night, I don’t much care what happens to me. Or did you think I was walking in the rain for fun?” his eyes lit up with sarcasm. Sheehan glared and crossed his arms in a little kid’s pout.

“Hey!” He fumed. “I saved your life, you should be a little happy.” Kyuro shook his head and sighed.

“Saved me from the rain, yes. But unless you plan on staying, there’s really not much for me to look forward to in life except going back to what already was. Really... you shouldn’t have saved me.” He looked down. Sheehan raised his eyebrows.

“Ehh? Really, that’s a terrible thought. You are so pessimistic, of course you can find something to live for, you just don’t want to. Don’t be selfish.” He snorted and tugged the demon’s arm, scooting back. “Lay down and go to sleep you. We’ll talk more in the morning.” He smiled and pushed Kyuro down on the bed, put the other half of the blanket over him and curled up next to him, smiling softly. Kyuro didn't resist, he really was tired and had no strength to argue. Just the rain outside was making him feel exhausted. He didn’t mind water usually, but if he stayed out long enough he’d get dizzy as his power was dampened. It was amazing how long he’d lasted the day before. Sheehan was right; perhaps he should just lie down and sleep... just a little.

Sheehan’s smile softened as Kyuro’s eyes closed and his entire body relaxed. Curling up closer to him for warmth, the elf, brushed the bright hair out of the other’s eyes.

“You really are such a mystery to me.” He mumbled under his breath, shaking his head. “Really, how do you manage to be so open and free with your feelings like that?” With a soft chuckle, Sheehan also settled down, his eyes closing once more and his arm around Kyuro to keep him from slipping off again, not that it was likely. With a sigh, he floated off to sleep as well.

----------------------

When Kyuro woke, it was still dark, but he felt something had changed. His eyes flicked around, but he didn’t move. Then he realized what it was. His face flushed softly as he realized that the half naked elf boy had cuddled up to him in the night and now had him wrapped up from behind. Kyuro shifted slightly and turned his head to look back.

Sheehan’s eyes were closed and he was breathing slowly and deeply, definitely asleep. His skin was cool, and Kyuro especially noticed it where the boy’s arm had made it’s way under the hem of his shirt somehow as it wrapped around to meet the other arm.

The red head took a deep breath and slowly shifted to turn around and face Sheehan. He waited as the elf boy frowned a little at the movement and squirmed to get comfortable again, just happening to move closer to the warmth. Being a fire demon, Kyuro’s body tended to radiate heat like a flame, especially while he was sleeping. This drew Sheehan into nuzzling against the other’s chest, purring a little in his sleep, a soft smile on his lips.

Kyuro turned red and his body heat rose dramatically more. He just couldn’t help himself, he wanted to move so he wasn’t tempted, but if he moved, he’d probably wake up Sheehan and the thought of that cute sleepy look made Kyuro realize he was going to have trouble either way.

He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths, getting his thoughts under control. Opening his eyes again, he took the opportunity to study the elf up close without having to worry about curious looks. Leaning forward, he couldn’t help himself anymore. He paused when the elf’s breath hitched for a moment, waiting, hoping he hadn’t woken the boy up. When the breath evened again he gave a soft sigh of relief, letting out the breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding. Leaning forward again, he pressed his lips softly to Sheehan’s, figuring this was as close as he’d get ever again any way, so why not go for it?

That’s when it happened; the elf boy sighed gently and pressed into the kiss.

Kyuro pulled back, stunned. Aqua eyes fluttered open, still sleepy, but strangely alert. The smile playing over Sheehan’s lips turned into a small smirk. Kyuro blinked and cocked his head to the side.

“How long have you been awake?” he asked softly, feeling his face heat up. The boy smiled gently and pulled his arms from around Kyuro so he could stretch them out and sigh.

“Since you started to lean over me.” He replied with a grin. Kyuro thought back to the elf’s hitched breath. So that’s what had happened. But...

“Are you still mostly asleep? Earlier you were resisting my advances.” He reasoned softly. Sheehan giggled a little, causing Kyuro to be even more confused.

“Yeah, but that was before I got some sleep. I get cranky and muddled when I’m tired. ‘Course, that could still be happening...”

Kyuro was really confused now. He shook his head and rubbed it, half sitting, propping himself up on one elbow.

“Wait, wait.” He said, rubbing his head still. “So, you rejected me because you were tired?” he asked incredulously. Sheehan nodded sheepishly. “And you probably don’t have a clue what you’re doing right now.” Another nod.

“Sort of... Truthfully, it excited me the first time you showed an interest in me, when we got here, and you pinned me to the wall outside.” He shrugged and turned his head to the side, a soft blush gracing his pale cheeks. “But when I was so tired later on, I got kind of irritated. Then I felt bad when you tried to leave, so I decided that I’d let you know in the morning that I’d made a mistake.” His soft smile made Kyuro’s heart melt and he forgot all about what had happened earlier. Then Kyuro shook his head a little to clear it. Obviously, the elf wasn’t really fully awake. Earlier, he’d blushed at the demon’s advances, now he was being so bold.

“You have the weirdest moods.” He sighed, laying his head back down on the pillow. “Let’s talk more about this in the morning, when both of us are awake.” He nodded and wrapped an arm around Sheehan’s waist, wanting to enjoy it while the elf let him. And he was sure that the elf would go back to being uncomfortable when he was fully rested so, he might as well enjoy it while he could.

Kyuro wrapped Sheehan in his warmth and settled his chin on the elf’s head. He stared at the ceiling, mind way too busy to go back to sleep. Instead, he listened to Sheehan’s breathing as it slowed and evened out again.

The next morning, the rain had stopped. Sheehan’s eyes slowly flickered open and he sat up groggily. Using one hand to steady himself, he rubbed his eyes with the other and looked over the where Kyuro lay... or, at least where he should have been.

Slightly panicked for a moment, the elf looked around. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he spotted the demon back by the window again.

“I didn’t leave.” Kyuro said quietly, hearing the elf’s panicked heartbeat and gasped breath. Sheehan glared but slid out of bed.

“Why are you staring outside again?” he asked, coming to stand beside the demon. Kyuro glanced at him and smiled a little before his eyes flicked back to the window.

“It’s calming...” he said after a long pause. “And sad...” he shrugged as Sheehan looked at him questioningly. “Anyway, about last night,” he started, desperate to change the subject. Sheehan cut him off.

“Look, I don’t know if you really like me or if you’re just attached because I helped you,” he said before Kyuro could continue, “But it really was rude of me to have been so harsh and then confuse you like I did.” Kyuro just stared out the window, completely still. The elf boy rested a hand on the demon’s arm, making him flinch slightly.

Kyuro bit his lip and fidgeted a little. Sheehan shook his head and leaned forward into his line of vision. Catching the red eyes he searched them silently for a moment.

Finally, Kyuro looked away and the elf giggled. Looking back with a small frown, the demon was cut off again.

“I’ve truthfully only got an empty home to go back to, so, why don’t we both stay here for a while. It’ll be less lonely, and perhaps, even if we don’t become lovers, we can still become best friends. But either way, let’s take it a bit slower and learn about each other first before we get into anything.” He cocked his head to the side, waiting. Kyuro closed his eyes, looking pained for a moment.

“You’ll hate me after...” he said quietly. Sheehan huffed, lip forming a pout. Kyuro looked at him. “Really, if you knew everything about me, you’d get scared... or angry... whatever, but you wouldn’t like it.” His eyes were wide and fearful, like a child.

“Well, you don’t have to tell me it all until you feel like you can. If you ever feel like you can.” The blonde boy shrugged. “Look, you let me decide how I feel about things you tell me. You just focus on not being so depressed.” Kyuro rolled his eyes.

“Your cheerfulness is making me nauseous.” He said, pulling away and heading for the kitchen area. Sheehan glared at his back, cheeks puffed up with the words he wished to yell at the demon. He kept them in and stalked forward after him. About to let them out anyway, he stopped.

“What are you doing?” he asked, watching Kyuro take out food and pans.

“I’m making breakfast, what does it look like?” Kyuro replied, setting down the utensils and heading for the food.

“We ran out of firewood for the stove last night, we can’t heat breakfast until we go get more.”

Kyuro stared at the elf. Lifting his right hand level with his face, he raised his index finger. A small flame sprung out of nowhere on to he tip of his finger.

“Did you miss the part where I was a fire demon?” he asked with a smirk as Sheehan turned bright red. “We don’t need any wood as long as I’m here. I can cook just fine, thank you.” With a self-satisfied chuckle, he turned to the stove, sending the flame into the stove and letting it grow to what he needed. He then proceeded to prepare some vegetables and bacon for their breakfast.

Sheehan muttered under his breath as he turned away, missing the small smile Kyuro gave, glancing at the elf’s back.
