She

She sits alone,
Feeling the warmth of her tears,
As they roll silently down her soft cheeks.
She feels the pain,
Wishing for it to go away,
She takes to staring out of the window,
Watching the world outside,
It looks so joyous…yet all she sees is the memories that world had besieged on her.

She thinks...
Why did daddy have to leave?
Why did the kids have to jeer?
They don’tknow nothing about me,
Why can’t they leave me here in peace?
Why am I sitting all alone?
Why does he deny me his love?
Why can’t life be good to me?
Why don’t my saviour rescue me?

She sits alone,
Working hard all night,
Just to make this right.
She feels the pain,
Feels that love won’t come,
Or that special praise when she is done.
She takes to staying in her room,
At least there she is safe from fate,
Daddy’s still not here, they still don’t understand,
Why is the world being so cruel?

She thinks..
Why is daddy still not home?
Why won’t those kids leave me alone?
They don’t know nothing about me,
Why can’t they leave me here in peace?
Why do I sit here all alone?
Maybe he just won’t show his love,
Will life ever be good to me?
Where is my angel to save me?

She sits alone,
So she picks up the phone,
Has the courage to say hi.
She felt the pain,
Now she dries her eyes,
Picks herself up – no way will she give in.
She takes to holding her head up high,
Building her dreams she could touch the sky,
She keeps on going, she won’t back down.
She thinks

Daddy still don’t ever come by,
But no way am I going to cry,
Those kids at school they’re still a pain,
But really it’s their loss and my gain.
They’ll never know who truly I am,
Their thoughts are empty because I don’t care.
I don’t have to sit here all alone,
I had my friendships all along.
I think he’s trying to show his love,
I’ll keep on trying and enjoy our time.
Life is starting to turn out right,
And now I try with all my might.
This is because I found myself,
And now I am saved.
