Apathy

War, poverty, disease

No one cares.

Sitting at home

Ignoring the world.

They don't care.

I care.

The world is dying slowly

All around us.

No one notices.

I notice.

Doing nothing

Will get us nowhere.

But do they care? Do they see?

No.

In 1969, people cared.

People marched against injustice.

Men went on strikes

Women stopped their work

Teens left school

And protested.

Together.

They changed the world.

No one cares now.

Our ancestors made the world a better place.

For us.

For future generations.

Today, people ruin it.

And they don't even know it.

What will be left for our children?

People dying

Children crying

But no one notices.

Governments corrupted

Nations dying.

I watch this.

But it doesn't matter.

Not to our generation.

Nothing matters.

Author's note: This was written after I saw how bad the world was getting. Please do not take offense to anything written in here. It's based off of my experiences. I did not mean to say that there isn't anyone in the world that doesn't care. I know that there are. But there are very few people around me that care, so that's where this whole thing came from. Like I said, please don't take offense to anything written here.
