He Misses You

Do you know the song where a guy sings to a girl that he misses? I remember that the chorus of the song goes like this and I trust that you all know this song.

Where’d you go?

I miss you so.

Seems like it’s been forever,

since you’ve been gone.

Please come back home.”

Even though the lyrics are short, it was written wonderfully. It really shows that the person really misses the other person. With a soft music slowly tuning in the background, this song could really brought tears in my eyes. (Okay, maybe I am exaggerating it a bit but still).

I wonder what he was thinking when he made the song. Did he really miss the girl or was he just making it up so he can sell his album? I hope it isn’t the latter. Even if he really misses the girl, I bet he had met her at least once otherwise he couldn’t possibly miss her. Am I right?

It is really impossible for us to miss someone that we haven’t even met yet. Tell me, have you ever miss someone that you don’t even know? Aside from missing your knight and shinning armor, or your favorite band singer or any of those hard-to-reach people, have you ever had a change of mood just because you suddenly miss a name?

Suppose you are hanging out with your friends at some place and suddenly you felt sad. When one of your friends asked you what’s wrong, you answered you missed someone.

“Who could that be?” your friend asked.

“I don’t know. I just miss Frank.” You replied.

“Who’s Frank? Is he your friend?”

“I dunno. His name suddenly pops into my head. He’s could be my friend.”

Obviously you did not have amnesia that causes you to forget your old friend’s name. If you say you did, then I guess everybody had amnesia; which is impossible, theoretically (although it would be cool . . . somehow.)

No one would have a “suddenly missing someone I don't know” kind of feeling. It would be too bizarre for us human being to handle especially when it is explained using science methods.

However, what is impossible to us, clearly is possible to Jesus.

Maybe you’d think it’s way out of your head if Jesus would suddenly have a foul mood because he misses one of his children. Well, it can happen and it has been happening ever since we fall into sin. God has been missing us in his throne up in heaven.

Although sometimes he cannot talk to us the way we talk to our friends, he misses us the most. Even though we think God doesn’t know about us but he always thought about us every single second.

Just like a mother that misses her unborn child, God misses us. Though the mother has never met her baby yet, she really already misses the baby. When the baby finally arrived, her face will light up. She finally met the person she misses most.

Maybe up there, up in heaven, if we really stay quiet and focus our ears to God, we could hear it. The silent song God has been singing ever since. The faithful hope of a father waiting for his children to come back to him. And when you finally go home, he will welcome you with his warmest welcome that you could never imagine.

Where’d you go?

I miss you so.

Seems like it’s been forever,

since you’ve been gone.

Please come back home.”

How long will you keep him waiting?

Just go home.

Your father is waiting
