Death

Skin cold as ice, the life no longer worn,

Her family’s heart beating, yet all torn.

Eyelids peacefully closed, no sign of sweet life,

Her death striking them all, like a giant knife.

Her ocean-blue depths, never to see,

What her young daughter may come to be.

The sad music playing, signing her death,

Because she did drugs, mainly meth.

Her heart no longer beats like the steady beating drum,

And her life is abandoned like a homeless bum.
