Could I turn back time,
If I spun the wheel of a clock?
If I pinned down the hands,
Could I make time stop?

If I called out to you,
Would you wait for me?
If I drew back the curtains,
Would you finally see?

If I told you how I feel,
Would you treat me the same?
If I cried with you,
Would I still be to blame?

If I called out to you,
Would you walk away?
If I held your hand,
Would you let me stay?

If I shut my mouth,
Would you listen to me?
If I didn’t try so hard,
Would things get easy?

If I called out to the sun,
Could I end the rain?
If I ended my life,
Would it end the pain?

If I followed you,
Would you still flee?
If I said I was sorry,
Would you forgive me?

If I brought back the memories,
Would you remember me?
If I accomplished the impossible,
Would you finally see?

You didn’t hear me cry,
You couldn’t feel my pain,
I ended my life for you,
But I still felt the same.

I reached out for your hand,
But you wouldn’t take mine.
I couldn’t stop the rain.
I couldn’t turn back time.
