A/N: I have to offer my sincerest apologies to Faltering. I'm really sorry I got mad at you and lost my temper when you semi-flamed me. I just don't see how you can be ashamed to be an MCR fan. TO EVERYBODY THAT HAS REVIEWED, I AM SO SORRY TO SAY THAT THIS IS THE LAST CHAPTER, I AM CURRENTLY WRITING ANOTHER STORY RIGHT NOW, BUT IT'S ABOUT MY LIFE.
Ana's P.O.V:
I could only watch in horror as I saw the exchange between Connor and Danny. Right after Connor had flicked off the safety catch, Danny thought he was dead, so it came out of nowhere when Connor's fist smacked Danny's eye. Danny fell back a few steps then his eyes took on a hard edge. He scared me a little, but I knew it wouldn't scare Connor. Danny brought his fist down hard on...air. Connor had moved his head fast enough that Danny didn't hit it. It was then I realized that Connor had been practicing since that last fight. Connor pulled his clenched fist back then into Danny's stomach, hard. While he was doubled over, Connor raised his gun, not at Danny's head, but at his leg. It was like I was watching it in slow motion as I saw Connor pull the trigger, just once. He collapsed onto the floor like a rag doll. It was the most horrible thing that I could have felt, when I realized that there was nothing I could do to help Danny. All the blood drained from my head like a bursting dam, leaving my face paler than ever. In the candlelight of the Italian restaurant, I was white as a sheet. My normally more-green-than-hazel eyes turned bright green. Though I didn't know that. All I knew was that I couldn't help Danny.
What are you talking about?
What?
Are you just going to give up on him then? The only person who has ever really accepted you? The only person who has ever really loved you?!
I have a voice in my head?
FUCK yeah! So, are you going to let him die?
FUCK NO!! I can't give up on Danny! Danny wouldn't give up on me, so I won't give up on him!
HELL YEAH! THAT'S THE ANA I KNOW!
As quick as I thought, I pulled my handheld (which Connor had strictly forbidden me to bring) out of my pocket.
"Connor!" I said with steel in my voice. I sounded so brave. I really couldn't feel anything. All I felt was numb. All my senses had shut off. All of them except for the ones required to pull a trigger. Connor turned around and looked at me. I looked straight into his eyes. In their deep chocoalte depths I could see that he hated Danny and me. I could see that he was crazy. He wanted revenge so much, it was all he thought about. I searched but I couldn't find any mercy there. They were just pits of bitter chocolate. His eyes were the only give, the rest of him was under perfect control. The second the people in the restaurant had seen I had a gun, they immediately pulled theirs out of their holsters.
Connor turned to look at me. Apparently he saw fear in my eyes, something that I couldn't stop them from showing. He smiled at me, then turned around and fired one shot. The sound of gunfire echoed around the totally still room. No one moved a muscle. The spell was broken when I saw a fountain of red liquid exiting Danny's head. His blood spilled from his head, down his neck and onto the floor. In Danny's fading charcoal black eyes I saw that he loved me, and always would love me. Then I saw his beautiful eyes close for the last time and he sighed, gratefully. I could see his soul slipping up, out of his mouth, then growing wings and flying into me.
I love you Ana.
That was what he told me. Then I felt a rush of strength replenish my tired muscles.
"Not a scratch on her, boys," Connor told the men from the restaurant. That was it. The last straw. They would not touch me.
"Bastard!" I shouted at Connor as I raised my gun to his head.
Everyone else raised their guns as I did, though they were pointed at me. Connor chuckled a little.
"Do you honestly think that you can take out me and a trained squad of gunmen and still escape police custody?" Connor asked in an amused tone of voice.
I smiled maliciously. "Why, no! Of course not! That would just be silly, right?" I said in my best sarcastic mocking voice. " Who said I would get out of here alive? Bet I can pull the trigger faster than your rapist apes," I said with murder in my voice.
For the first time tonight, Connor's eyes betrayed his fear.
"I will rid the earth of bitches and sluts and whores like you and the woman who birthed you!" Connor screamed at me.
"Ohh, Connor! Don't lose your temper!" I reprimanded him. Then I flicked the safety catch off my gun almost at the same second I shot Connor in the head twice. I felt bullets whistle through my hair as they missed my head. I let my head hang back limply as I sunk to the ground, bullets buried deep inside my chest. All I had time to utter before I died was
"I love you..."
Then my soul slipped out and joined Danny's as we flew down to the Underworld to be judged together.
Death
A soul flies away,
Down or up,
Depending on their deeds.
A soul flies down
And is welcomed into Hades.
A soul flies up
And is welcomed into Heaven.
The Pearly Gates,
Or
A Burning Pit of Darkness and Strife,
A soul is welcomed wherever it chooses to go.
A/N: Yeah, I know I kind of exaggerated the "Burning Pit of Darkness and Strife" part, but I thought it fit. I'm sorry that this was the last chapter, but I knew it would end this way since I started writing it. So, yeah. I'm going to start another story soon, so I hope you review that too!
