Goodbye

The embers of high school life are dwindling.
And the future, it's coming and coming and coming.
But,
it will never arrive.
Tomorrow can never be Today.
And Today will for one day be Yesterday.
Then all blurs into a past.
Into a box labeled memories
that we store away in a basement
soon to be flooded.

The embers of high school are dwindling,
but I still feel the warmth of the fire.

The embers of high school are dwindling,
please, let me always remember the fire.
