when the stars alight
shining candles in your eyes-
while you wait for
the promise whispered
through my lips (and upon yours
deliver)

impatient as our hands
unable to reach across a distance

time becomes an art
you and i will learn

draw from it, living within it
unable to rush,

So, pouring the determination
from my heart&soul

i'll carve the moment to come-
engraved with words
promise,
