It was early the next morning when Alex woke up, they were on a tall mountain deep in a strange forest, he leaned against the side of the old, slightly worn-down house and looked at the rising sun. He wondered if all the sunrises up here would be this beautiful and with a smile thought. I could really get used to this... After so many years, he had found a permanent home, and knew that he was there to stay, now among his own race, with a father he knew cared about him more then anything, he'd no longer have to return to the cruel human world, and at the same time he wondered how his friends were doing, they had to be back from camp by now, and had heard the news of his parents being dead and that he was missing. He smiled and promised himself silently that he would visit them again one day, and explain everything before he turned 15 and would no longer be in human form. That was a year away luckily, he had more then enough time to do so. Erik walked up beside him and put a hand on his shoulder. "You're missing your home, aren't you?" he asked him in a fatherly manner.

"A little..." Alex said with a smile "I just wish, I could have said goodbye to my friends..."

"That's always what hurts the most..." Erik told him "Even if you have time to, every werewolf hunter knows you exist by now, you can't go back there..."

"But, they'll think I'm dead..." Alex said, guilt made his stomach churn like butter.

"Sometimes, that's the best thing..." Erik assured him "If any hunters did find out they had a conection with you, they could use them to get to you otherwise..."

"You keep saying that like their a huge threat..." Alex commented "Malaki is dead, the fang is shattered-"

"And his followers will be looking for revenge..." Erik told him "By any means possible..."

Alex nodded slowly. "And we'll be ready when they do..." he said.

"But enough of that, come in and have something to eat..." Erik smiled, seeing his son so thin "You must be starving!"

"I'll be right in dad..." Alex told him, Erik walked through the door.

"A new dawn approaches steadily over the horizon... We have won only the first battle in something much bigger... The forces of evil will never give up until we are extinct... It is time for the werewolf clans to come together... All those who choose to join us in our fight for existence, I send this message to you..."

Erik gave the medium sized bird the little piece of parchment, it was instructed it to send it to all the human governments as well as the leaders of each werewolf clan and the leaders of other races of supernatural creatures.

"A war looms over the shadows... And none of us can stop it, it is inevitable... Both humans and supernatural beings will have to choose whether to stand with us or to stand by those who plan our extinction..."

Alex looks turns and begins walking into the house, his werewolf bite mysteriously glow.

"In the name of all our kind, I ask for your help..."

Erik turns watching the bird fly off.

"Together, we can bring peace..."
