-the weather channel.

read the lines beneath your eyes
although the light refuses to shadow them
it was forecasted to rain today
they never specified whether it would rain apples
or pomegranates
guess it don't matter cause it's drizzling stained glass
and we can dance amongst the shattered catherdral
as it crumbles past into a void
narrowly missing my outstretched fingers
now scraped and bleeding from its jagged winds
wide birth
but only on the tips where he touched,
now you stand in slow motion (so i would assume)
atop a mound of bloody sugar
beautifully uncaring as ever while tasting like
wine soaked pine needles, what ifs and whys
too bad the appetizer course was already cleared away
on plates of said fine china.
