I’m falling with lead.

It seems I’m dead.

But I didn’t say goodbye,

Or even ask why.

I can see her wait

As I fall to my fate

It’s too late.

The hunters laugh

As they break me in half.

A trophy to be

When they saw me flee

From their guns,

While they sing their songs of puns.

Is this the end?

I want to see her again

“Please let me live” I yelled.

As they took me to where their people dwelled.

I was raised up like a boar.

“It is dead” they roared.

I see her in the crowd

I see her in the field

“I’ll protect you” I vowed.

“Until you are healed”

Now I don’t feel dead

I don’t feel the lead,

I’m just glad to say goodbye,

I don’t even need to ask why.

She seems to fade away,

Will she meet me afterwards,

I will wait day after day.

Everything seems backwards

Right here, I will stay.

Until my goddess returns, then I will obey.
