The demons are back,
And they’re after my soul,
They whisper sweet nothings in my ear,
Trying to gain control.
I listened to them once,
And the urge is stronger now,
For I know the bliss they command,
But I can’t break my vow.
I crawled from the darkness,
Strived for the light,
But the thought of that bliss,
Is enough to excite.
Why do they torment me so?
With their offerings of the void,
Where nothing can touch me,
Nothing but pleasure enjoyed.
Their words so persuasive,
The blade is so bright,
Just begging for a sacrifice,
So why do I continue to fight?
