I was just aimlessly wandering my kitchen at 3:30 in the morning. So, I was half asleep and practically a zombie. In a million years I thought I wouldn’t hear that infuriating ringing sound from the phone, but I did. I couldn’t bear to hear it until the answering machine picked it up; I answered it, “Hello?”

For some reason, after I spoke the room went cold and eerie. There was a sound of shattering glass in the background of the caller and finally a deep voice spoke,

“Can you sleep with your eyes open, Miss Jessica, because I suggest you should?” Someone said in the most spine chilling voice and then… dead silence. As ridiculous as that sounds, I should have been scared and calling the police, but my thick skinned self left it at that. If you were in my place, you would have taken a crap in your pants, but me I just laughed hysterically. That was the worst mistake of my life.

As I was walking back to my bed room, I could have sworn I saw someone’s shadow. I just thought it was my eyes playing tricks or loosing strength; it wasn’t of course…it was the beginning of my real life nightmare.

Author’s Note: Well, I can say how this story is so deliciously exciting, but I can’t say this. I’m a size four. LOL. Anyways, I’ve written four stories, and this one just seems right to me. So please read on and leave a sweet comment. xoxo, Madison Lynelle
