Deep within the furthest reaches of my soul

lies a phantasm of darkness that,

upon the beckoning of the very things which exacerbate,

threatens to rise up and break the chains that contain it

and warp the perceptions of the world around me

until a flaming sword brings the kage no kaijuu (1) to its knees

to lie in wait for the next ordeal
