Moonlight Journeys
The stars that murmured far ahead
Hence carried us on moonlit ways;
To solemn paths and wayward roads
That led apart our wandering days.
And some were paved by thriving bloom –
Of silver trees and buds of gold;
While others, flowered with deceit
Held misted rains and vacant cold.
Yet broken pathways merged with time
To join beneath moon’s silver light;
And bond lost rovers, you and I –
Beneath the glitter of the night.
