The Girl Who Was Different.

The Girl Who Was Different.

The girl sat alone in the crowded classroom.
No-one wanted to be her friend.
Why?

She was too clever.
She didn't have a boyfriend.
She wore glasses.
She was too fat, and not pretty.

Not good reasons, but good enough.
For the popular crowd to pick on her.
And make her life a misery.

An empty place in the crowded classroom.
A name struck off the register.
A gang of girls with guilty faces.

A quiet place for the girl who was different.
A bottle of pills, a note on the floor.
The only escape for the girl who was different.
