Two Sides; Chapter One
Jason
I pulled into the school parking lot in my convertible Ferrari, its black paint sparkling in the morning sun. Within the few seconds I got out of my car, girls surrounded me. This is my life. Girls, cars, and street racing. I’m eighteen (18) and it’s my senior year in high school. I’m the richest guy in town and everyone knows my name. Oh, yeah. I’m the coolest guy in school and anyone who denies it is messed up.
“Good morning, ladies,” I said and walked toward the school building with the group of girls.
“Good morning, Jason,” they all said in unison. It was pretty cool. I walked with them to the school courtyard, where we hung out every morning.
“Yo, man. What you doin’ wit these girls all by yo self?” My best friend, Chris, who is, in every right, black. I love him though. I couldn’t be me without my best pal. We’d been friends ever since elementary school.
“I dunno dawg. They just swarmed up on me. I’ve been surrounded ever since I got here. Come join me bro,” He pat me on the back and sat down. We talked and joked around like usual.
“Jason, there’s a weekend coming up. You gonna host another party?” Alicia said sweetly and tugged lightly on my white hoodie.
“Depends, you ladies gonna be there?” I asked and looked around then at Chris when I heard a coughing sound. “My bad, dude, are you gonna be there as well?” I said to back myself up.
“Duh, man!” He said with a laugh and gave me a high five. The girls all giggled and laughed as they started to hook each other up with guys for the party that wasn’t even set to date yet. I looked up to look around for a minute and someone caught my eye. She was walking away from a guy who was obviously trying to make a statement. She was trying to out-walk him, but she was having trouble. Finally she stopped and looked down. Her blonde hair flowed in the wind, covering her face. I knew she was crying. He talked to her and picked her chin up. He said something and she nodded. Then they walked off toward one of the school buildings. I looked back at my group as Chris began rapping one of the popular songs off the radio. I joined in and the girls loved it.
Note: this is an intro. I’m trying to earn some reviews and trying different genres to see how I can get more reviews from people. If all goes well I’ll add a LOT of detail to this. So if you like it, R&R.
