A/N: Please note that this story follows the Aqueaura Universe! Death's Angel is set some time in the future from the two other stories in this series, Ex and the Aqueaura... and please for the sake of the story, please do not hold some of the details from the other story against this one. Some of the details will be further explained later and fixed within the series after a massive re-write and lots of editing. Ok, now for the other stuff: I know it's been a while since I wrote last, my Muse has been woefully silent... but hopefully this story will bring it back to life. Please let me know if you like it! And, as always, please review!

Death’s Angel
Where to start? I haven’t a clue, really. Most would say, start at the beginning… but how does one give an accurate telling of events that happened before one was born? I don’t know that either. But I will try. However, please keep in mind that the events that follow will be colored by my own biases and thoughts. I will try to keep the telling as impartial as I can, but consider yourself warned and before drawing your final conclusions, I beseech you to compound your knowledge with the memories of someone else who lived through this time as well. I assure you that this will help you to understand the full measure of what I wish to tell you. Some of this information you already know, some of it you probably expected and some of it will be hard to believe… but please… use your better judgment and in the end, it will all make sense. I promise. Thank you. And without further delay, I give you my tale.
It started with the Explanations. The Three Explanations. No, not explanation as in a meaning or interpretation. They are beings. Powerful, god-like beings. I say God-like because they are not Gods in this realm, on this Earth. But they are viewed as such elsewhere. Especially on their home dimension. They came to us, these three faux-deities before the dawn of time. After their dimension had already achieved all it could ever achieve, and thus, stranded upon such a lofty plateau, the Gods left their people to run the dimension themselves and set off to find another ground in which to yet again obtain perfection. Because their perfection was not enough, not enough for what was to come. They searched for decades, centuries, millennia before stumbling across our little planet, barely cooled from the violent beginnings from which we emerged. At first, they were unimpressed, ready to continue in their search for their new supremacy, their new weapons against a force so unstoppable that the Universes themselves shook with fear. But then, to our great misfortune, the power of our dimension made itself known when our God and Goddess, the true deities of our plane, lit the first tiny spark of life. In that moment, that glorious, beautiful dreadful moment, our fate was sealed. They knew that here was where they would build their Master Race.
It was my Great Grandmother and Grandfather that helped to nurture the seeds of life that the Goddess and God planted within the womb of our home. They were not Gods, exactly, like so many of our oldest beings are… but immortal prophets, destined to watch time progress and give a helping hand along the way. They were here when the ground brandished its first upheaval, when the wind cried its first euphoria, when the ocean churned its first tempest, when the volcano hurled its first incandescence toward the colored sky. They protected, taught and loved these infantile elements and the earth they belonged to. It was a spectacular beginning. Then, some million years later, my Great Grandmother, Serilitous, gave birth the triplet Gods: Deternity, Neckesalin and Xerex. Deternity was to become my Grandfather. Dracgonia, my Great Grandfather was beside himself with fatherly pride. Time progressed as time does and the three Gods grew. Neckesalin left the happy haven first, having been fated to be a Dark God, his personality would not succumb to the joyful place in which he inhabited with his family. His brothers did not mind. Xerex was the second to leave, as he was planted firmly in the grey area between good and evil, and being quite mischievous, decided to pursue a life on his own. That left Deternity, a God of Light, at home. Not that his parents minded, you see, it’s not that they loved their other sons any less, but they knew that this one was destined for something more. That happens with prophets.
So, my Grandfather stayed at home with his parents, fulfilling his godly duties until one day, the position of Lord Protector opened. Lord Protector was basically like the ruler of the world, only they served with a council of other beings, to help ensure that each decision was a just one. He graciously accepted the opportunity and spent a great many years making the world a better place. The second-in-command of Deternity’s council was Jethra, a beautiful intelligent Goddess whose courage and passion won the respect of many. They made a wonderful team, often finishing each other’s sentences and lending each other insight that the other would not normally have, providing one another with a keen understanding that only kindred spirits can share. As the dimension fell on darker times, it became apparent that they would need help. Let me explain, Dimensions all have parallels. Did you ever wonder what would have happened if you had taken that risky job? Or if you had moved to another place? You did, in a parallel dimension. There are a vast array of parallels, and ours happens to be the one that prophecies don’t always make sense, where things don’t always happen quite right. The prophets thusly named it the Oddball Dimension. Yes, it’s silly, I know. But you have to understand that it was more of a joke, they didn’t really mean for it to stick. It just sort of did. It’s because of this odd little, not flaw exactly, more like a difference, that they did not have a very important element for keeping order. The Most Powerful Being. She was supposed to have been born already, but for some reason she hadn’t been. So, Lord Protector, with the help of his Council decided to make her by using a piece of each of their hearts. Of course, it was not just their hearts, a great deal of energy and magick went into it as well. A very complex spell later, Deternity’s first daughter was born. Trinity, my mother.
My mother was raised with the Council as her family, but she only called Deternity ‘father’. She had also adopted Jethra as her mother. She was loved as a child, and taught as to the great importance that she would have in the world. My mother, her sense of honor so deeply ingrained, believed that she should undergo a test before accepting the status of Goddess, which was her birthright. So, leaving behind her memories and family, she was born again. This time, she was mortal; sentenced to live out a mortal life before regaining the status that was rightfully hers. As time passed, Deternity decided that it was time for him to retire as Lord Protector and let another man step into his place. He would always regret letting Tracarix assume his position when a great calamity fell upon them. The Council, the whole of it, including his beloved Jethra were killed. Tracarix was the only one to have been spared, since he had not been at the meeting at the time of the attack. For the first time in his life, Deternity felt horribly alone. He could not go to his daughter and tell her of the news, because she did not remember anything of her true life. The woman that he had begun to love was dead. He ached for comfort, for love and found it in the arms of a beautiful mortal woman. He loved her, in his way and of their love came a child. A second girl. A little goddess to be named Amelia. My aunt. The little sister my mother knew nothing about. Unable to escape tragedy, Deternity again suffered the loss of a lover when Amelia’s mother died. Now aware of the misfortunes that could befall even a blessed life, Deternity swore to care for this child with more cautiousness then he had his first-born.
Amelia Corralihn Etain was a Goddess of the Arts. She wanted for nothing; her days filled with lessons and fun, though perhaps not as much fun as she would have liked, seeing as her father was very protective. She grew older not knowing that she had an older sister, not knowing that this other girl would change their lives upon once they met. Her Grandparents doted upon her along with her Uncle Xerex. Any communication from Neckesalin, if there had been any, was not delivered to her. I do not write this to make it seem as though she was spoilt and saw no hardship while my unknowing mother suffered through mortal life, I simply wish to show you that as a Goddess, she did not know adversity. So when she too chose to live a mortal life, her family was surprised. This time Deternity would not even think about allowing his second born to leave without the memories she had. Instead of forgetting them, they were simply hidden until something happened to bring them back into the forefront of her mind. Again, he was left alone and as time went on, he began to feel increasingly forlorn. This was unacceptable and he decided that it was time to reappear in their lives.
During my aunt’s time alone, her spirit had been split into three entities containing hers and what would be known to be her two sisters, Shantarra and Elexis. Amelia became Amelia, Tarra and Elexis, the triplet goddesses. The Explanations decided to get the ball rolling, and a few events later my mother and my Aunts were reunited… well, united at the time, according to them. They did not find out that they were sisters, truly sisters…. Not just the ‘so close I’ll call you sister’ type, until Deternity reappeared in their lives. He revealed to them all of this information in order to be able to be in their lives once more. Being ‘father’ again to Amelia, and even her new sisters was easier then it was with Trinity. You see, Amelia, Lexie and Tarra all remembered him once they were reminded of their childhood. My mother did not. My mother did not know this man. She was not a goddess, as far as she knew. She was not any of these things that he claimed she was… that acceptance took a long time.
Meanwhile, my mother had grown up and fallen in love with a man named Ex. William “Ex” Zatayrius, a wizard and a vampire among many other things. Yes, yes. You’ve heard of him, have you? Have you also heard of their first-born Alec? Yes? Well, he is my half-brother. No, my mother and Ex never divorced, they are still happily together. Ok, let me explain. Have you ever heard of Polyamory? Polyamory is the participation in multiple and simultaneous loving or sexual relationships. Please do not confuse this with Polygamy. And please do not look down on my mother for it, it was not her decision but one that the Explanations pushed upon her. She is not a whore, as some of you may think and you should hope that I never come across you. My mother has dealt with adversity well, they all have and they have passed this trait along to us. At least, I’d like to think they have. My mother also took over the role of Lord Protector, and in being the first female to ever hold the position; the title was changed to Lady Protector to better fit the gender. She was not only the youngest Lady Protector but the first to implement so many positive changes in such a short time.
My father is her fourth lover. Mortimer, a necromancer of old. He is kind, funny and he absolutely adores my mother. He’s very young at heart, a trait that is more unusual than it would seem, for his age. He also has a show, in my Aunt Amelia’s circus, where he raises the dead as a form of entertainment and makes them… dance. Yes, silly to some. But Night on Bald Mountain never looked so good. My dad is the best dad I could have ever hoped for, he actually talks to me, listens to me… understands me… but I’m getting ahead of myself again. My mother has many men. Again, this sounds tactless, but no one is unhappy with the situation. Have you ever heard of the different planes of existence within oneself? My mother and aunts utilized this function of the body in a way that no one had thought of before. They can split themselves off into separate bodies and function just as well as if they weren’t split. They can split and merge at will, going from one body to three bodies and back to one again simply. This way they can focus on any number of their children, men and obligations. Yes, it sounds brutally efficient, but that is the way that the Explanations want it. You’ll see why all of this is the way it is in due time… My mother conceived a child with Mortimer, a girl. Me. My name is Reizora Sabyr Telluria. Rei, please.
Forgive me for the onslaught of information, I know it must be a lot to take in… but it is important to the tale I’ve which to tell. If you have any questions, please let me know… Alright, I think I’ll let you take that all in for now. We’ll continue later…
