The Girl Has Two Faces

The girls has two faces,

Few will ever see,

Aside from her family,

They number only three.

One face is happy,

Peppy, upbeat,

The other face is serious,

Shy, quiet and meek.

The first face is her mask,

She likes to people please,

It’s not that hard for her,

She does it with ease.

With that first face on,

She’ll make you comfortable and then,

Within a few days,

She’ll be your best friend.

She is loved by many,

There’s no denying that fact,

But the sad thing is,

Most will only see the act.

I am one of,

Those select few,

Those people who’ve seen,

Face number two.

That second face,

The one she hardly shows,

It’s a face that I’ve seen,

It’s one that I know.

That serious face,

Comes out once in a while,

When I see that face,

It always makes me smile.

I love that second face,

I will till the end,

Because I know that it’s her,

And she’s not playing pretend.

I don’t know why,

She won’t let people see,

That face that I love,

That face that says “me”.

There will come a day,

I hope, soon it will come,

That special day,

When two faces become one.

The girl has two faces,

But she’s not alone,

We all have many faces,

It begs the question, “which ones”?

We all have those faces,

False ones and true,

The ones that pretend,

And the one that is you.

Some have more than two faces,

Some only two,

But the face the crowd sees,

Is that face true?
